Terms of Use
These Terms (also called Terms of Service) are an agreement between you and the operator of Piping Toolbox (“we”, “us”) for the Android app and pipingtoolbox.com (the “Service”). By installing or using the app, creating an account, buying a subscription, or using AI features, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is — and is not
Piping Toolbox provides engineering reference information and tools, and may include optional AI assistance. It is for information and learning. It is not a licensed engineer, not a substitute for the codes and specifications on your project, and not legal or safety advice. You are solely responsible for design, fabrication, construction, and operations decisions.
All results are provided as is. Codes and practice change. Always check results against the governing specification and an independent calculation before any real use.
2. Accounts
You must be 13 or older (or the higher digital-consent age in your country).
You may use the Service with or without signing in. If you sign in, you are responsible for your password and for activity on the account. We may suspend accounts that break these Terms or abuse the Service.
3. AI features
Some features use a third-party language model. Replies can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong, and may not match other results in the app.
Do not rely on AI output as the only check for any decision that could affect health, safety, the environment, or property.
We may change, limit, or withdraw AI features at any time.
If you upload files, you must have the right to upload them. Do not use AI features for crime or weapons, to attack our systems, to bypass payment, to submit other people’s personal data unlawfully, or to present AI output as stamped engineering work.
You keep your rights in content you submit. You grant us a licence to host and process it as needed to run the Service, support, and legal duties, including sending it to our AI provider.
4. Subscriptions, ads, and cancellation
Paid access is an auto-renewing Google Play subscription. Play shows price, period, and renewal before you pay.
Cancel in Google Play subscriptions. Deleting the app, signing out, or deleting your Piping Toolbox account does not cancel Play billing. Refunds follow Google Play’s rules.
Users without a paid subscription may see ads. Missing ads do not unlock paid access.
If a purchase does not appear on the account you expect, email us your Play order ID (GPA.…) and the email that should have access. We may help; we do not promise every case can be moved.
5. Our rights and third parties
The app, name, and content are ours or our licensors. You may not resell or wrap the Service as your own. Names of codes or standards do not mean those organisations endorse the app.
The Service depends on third parties. Outages or their policy changes can interrupt features.
6. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that results or AI output are accurate or that the Service will be uninterrupted.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or data. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of (A) what you paid for Piping Toolbox through Google Play in that period, or (B) US $25.
Nothing here excludes liability that the law does not allow us to exclude. Piping and pressure work is inherently risky. Do not use the Service as your only engineering control.
If the law allows, you will indemnify us for claims from your misuse, your content, or your failure to verify results independently.
7. Ending the Service and changes
You may stop using the app and delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend access for breach, legal reasons, or if we discontinue the Service.
We may change the app and these Terms. The new date above will apply; continued use means you accept them. If you do not, stop using the Service and cancel in Google Play.
8. General
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where the operator is established, except where your local consumer law cannot be waived.
If one part is unenforceable, the rest remains. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the full agreement.
